Play midi Christian Poet I had written a simple refrain with a simple tune, but its verse had this mixed 7/8 9/8 time signature. In late november 1997 I was reading the Oxford book of carols, when I noticed the counting nature and strange times of the old songs, so I re-used my refrain and wrote some new verses to make a carol. It is very tiring to sing and so has not yet been suggested for use in worship.
